Welcome to The First Edition of Tween Tribune!
The first edition of The Tween Tribune is a celebration of all the hard work, perseverance and dedication of all the tween members of the Young Writers’ Club (Jr.) program. They have shown up for every single writing session week after week, to write. Every time they were sent to write their 2nd, sometimes 3rd drafts, they never sulked, never complained but got the job done. At times, there have been discussions because we looked at something differently. Everyone of those discussions have led to new perspectives and an acceptance of what needs to be changed and what doesn’t. We have learnt so much together!
As a teacher who has had the pleasure of reading their writing week after week and seeing everyone of them move to the next level, it felt like the right time has come to share that joy with more people and enable these amazing children to see their work get read and enjoyed by a larger audience than just me.
Every one of their contributions are short yet impactful reads. Some are witty, some are thought provoking, some will leave you with a sense of content that you may never have got before.
Enjoy!
